The inspiration behind our refined Tāniko Knits stems from our He Oranga Taiao, He Oranga Tāngata research project.  With a focus on indigenous-led innovation, we delve into indigenous textiles development, specifically dye pigments and sustainable design within zero waste knit technology.  This refined knit collection is steeped in regeneration, revitalisation and retention of traditional practice.   
 
Crafted from raw Merino, our Tāniko knit collection reflects this mahi and embraces the notion of interconnectedness depicted by whakapapa. It highlights the reciprocal relationships between people and place - He Oranga Taiao, He Oranga Tāngata and bridges the gap between contemporary innovation and tradition.
